JB Taylor started his career on the Kimberley diggings, became an assayer and transport rider .. roamed and hunted far and wide and picked up Percy Fitzpatrick at the Barberton drift. When I was there years ago I felt his spirit move me as I stood on a suspension bridge over the Blyde Canyon.
